Aruni Rajakarier (Founder/Director)
Aruni has over 20 years experience as a Finance professional of which the last 2 years has been as the Founder Director of SheConsults, leading a variety of engagements in Corporate reporting and Strategy. She currently serves on the board of NDB Capital Holdings PLC and NDB Securities (Pvt) Ltd., as an independent non- executive director and is the Chairperson of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee and also a member of the Investment Committee.
She has also served as Country Manager of ACCA Sri Lanka and Maldives and in a number of roles within the banking and telecommunication sectors and with Ernst & Young. Recent engagements in a personal capacity include Independent Reviewer for Audit Quality Assurance for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Consultant to World Bank on preparation of the Report on Observance of Standards and Codes, Accounting and Auditing. Aruni is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Prashani Illangasekera (Consultant)
Prashani previously held the position of Manager-Head of Ratings and Acting Chief Rating Officer at RAM Ratings Lanka. She also has experience in equity analytics, as an Investment Analyst at Asia Securities. She holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, MSc in Finance (Distinction) from the University of St.Andrews, UK and BA (Hons) in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK. Prashani is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Shivanthi Athukorale (Consultant)
Shivanthi has extensive experience in the banking sector, and has held a number of senior positions at Citibank N.A Sri Lanka Branch including, Vice President/Head, Corporate Liabilities and Priority Banking. Was also a Member of the Country Coordinating Committee (CCC) and Branch Credit Committee (BCC). She serves as an independent non-executive Director on the Boards of Melsta Regal Finance Limited and Melsta Tower (Private) Limited and sits on the Integrated Risk Committee, Credit Committee, Remuneration Committee and the Investment Committee of the former. Prior to joining SheConsults, Shivanthi served as General Manager-Operations and Investor Relations at Melstacorp Limited from June 2012 till May 2014.
Her qualifications include Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College London, UK. and BSc. SCORE (Statistics, Computing, Operational Research, Economics) First Class Honors, University College London.
Shamani Fonseka (Consultant)
Shamani is a Management Accountant with over 25 years experience in Finance, Management and Information Technology Consulting in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure, Telecom, Tea, Information Technology and Trading sectors. She has served as Director Operations with Azure Global Sri Lanka and in finance and accounting capacities with John Keells, Carson Cumberbatch & Co., and BC Computers. Whilst at John Keells she was seconded to Mercator, the IT arm of Emirates Airlines where she worked in the Dubai and UK Offices implementing systems. Her recent experience includes Systems Studies and ERP Consultancy, Business Process improvements and Annual Report writing. Shamani is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and holds an MBA from the Post Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
Kaushalya Gunasekera (Consultant)
Counts over 10 years in the Banking sector having served as Senior Relationship Manager Commercial Banking at NDB Bank until May 2014. Prior to this she served as a Relationship Manager in Project Finance. Received her training at Ernst & Young where she worked in various roles from Trainee to Assistant Manager. She holds an MBA from the University of Wales and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
Shianthi Jayasinghe (Consultant)
Shianthi has over 15 years multi-faceted experience in finance and management accounting and has served as Assistant Manager in Assurance in KPMG Bahamas. Prior to this, she functioned as the Assistant Management Accountant at Linea Clothing (Pvt) Ltd a subsidiary of MAS Holdings. Shianthi is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
