One Report At A Time

We started our journey in 2012, to make corporate reports more transparent, credible and focused on the triple bottom line. Inspired by the GRI G4 Guidelines and the relatively new Integrated Reporting Framework which showed the way to better narrative reporting, a small group of female finance professionals set out to make a difference in corporate reporting.

It was a timely move. Corporates were beginning to understand the value of non-financial information, stakeholder engagement and balanced reporting. We continued to invest in honing our skills and were lucky enough to be trusted by several corporates, not just to write their integrated reports but also to support their journey with determining material matters, setting up systems and processes and writing policies. Today, we have carved our own niche, providing ESG consultancy services to blue chip companies in Sri Lanka.

It is gratifying to see that many of our clients have won prestigious awards for excellence in Corporate Reporting both locally and internationally and we are very happy to have been part of their journey. More importantly, our conversations have started change in the right direction, broadening performance measurement to include Economic, Social, Environment and Governance indicators. We are extremely proud to have been part of Sri Lanka's success story with the highest percentage of GRI Sustainability Reports in South Asia!

Our clientele covers diverse sectors including conglomerates, banks, manufacturing, healthcare, etc. In the course of our work, we've supported sustainability implementation in over 100 entities.*

*As we work with some of the largest listed conglomerates in the country, our impact is greater than the number of reports we produce.

In 2019, SheConsults provided content for 30% of the GRI Reports prepared by companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

According to GRI, Sri Lanka has 83 GRI Reports and we worked together with some of the largest companies in Sri Lanka to produce 24 GRI reports. This excludes those reports which are pure Integrated Reports without GRI and those done for unlisted entities.
